Julio Aurelio holds a B.A. in Sociology, and graduated with Honors from the Argentine Catholic University. He is a specialist in socio-political studies in Public Opinion. He is President and General Director (CEO) of Julio F. A. Aurelio S.A.- "Aresco" Consulting.
With an extensive business career, both in Argentina and Spain, between 1972 and 1979 he directed an ongoing consulting service, specializing in urban sociology and environmental and territorial planning.
In 1979 in Madrid, Spain, he created 'Julio Aurelio and Associates', a research and political consulting group, the predecessor of "Compañía Argentina Española de Consultoría S.A" (Aresco) (Argentine-Spanish Consulting Company SA), which he founded in 1981. Upon his return to Argentina, in 1987, and with the same specialization in socio-economic and public opinion research, he inaugurated ARESCO - Compañia Argentina Española de Consultoría S.A. (Argentine Spanish Consulting Company), with headquarters in Buenos Aires.
Starting in 1991 and to this date, under the name of Julio F. A. Aurelio S.A, he heads a team of researchers, professionals and technicians in the field of pure and applied social sciences, serving both the public and the private sectors, domestically and internationally, undertaking research and studies, assessments, consulting and technical assistance in the areas of image and public opinion, political sociology and electoral technology, socio-economic and socio-cultural studies, audience measurement studies and technical audits and market research.
His extensive academic activity began in 1963. In addition to his numerous lectures at conferences and seminars, both in Argentina and abroad, he taught at the University of Buenos Aires, he was a professor and dean of the University of Mar del Plata, coordinator of the methodological and technical area of the School of Political Science at the University of El Salvador (Buenos Aires) and the creator and founder of the chair of Urban Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires. He is currently regular full professor of the Public Opinion chair of Political Science at the Social Sciences School of Buenos Aires National University.
